Available installations

Use this page to view and select an available package to install or uninstall by using the centralized installation manager.

To view this administrative console page, click System administration > Centralized Installation Manager > Available Installations.

Button	Resulting action
Show Installation Targets	Populates a list of applicable target workstations on which to install the software package.
Show Uninstallation Targets	Populates a list of applicable target workstations from which to uninstall the software package.
Install	Starts the wizard that installs the software package on one or more target workstations.
Install Using Response File	Starts the wizard that uses a response file to install the software package. If an installation package descriptor supports the use of the response file, the button is enabled. This option is available in the administrative console for WebSphere Application Server Version 7.0 only.
Uninstall	Starts the wizard that uninstalls the software package from one or more target workstations.

Select a package type

Specifies the package types to select from the list.

Product Install. Select this package type to view all the product installation packages that are available to install or uninstall.
Refresh Pack, Fix Pack, and Maintenance Tool. Select this package type to view the refresh packs, fix packs, and maintenance tools, such as the WebSphere Update Installer, that are available to download.
Interim Fix. Select this package type to view a list of the interim fixes that you previously downloaded to the centralized installation repository.

Select an installation package

Specifies the packages available to install or uninstall.

Depending on the package that you choose, you can also select to install or uninstall features or maintenance packages that accompany the installation package. If you choose a package that includes available features, select each feature from the Select optional features list. You can select only one feature for WebSphere Application Server Community Edition Version 2.0.

This list does not appear if the installation package does not include available features.

Host Name

Specifies the name of the target workstation on which to install the selected software package.

Node

Specifies the name of one or more nodes on the target host. This field is blank if there are no nodes defined on the target host.

Version

Specifies the products and versions that are installed on the target host.

Installation Location

Specifies the installation location of the product on the target host.

Platform Type

Specifies the type of operating system of the target workstation.
