Deployment target summary

This administrative console page displays an operational summary of all the deployment targets that are running in your environment. Deployment targets include application servers, middleware servers, clusters, and dynamic clusters. With this page, you can view the capacity that the deployment targets are consuming in relationship to each other, the operational status of the deployment targets, the service policies to which the deployment targets are classified, and the applications that are most active on the deployment targets.

To view this administrative console page, click Runtime operations > Deployment targets.

Deployment target summary chart

The chart shows the average response time of the deployment targets that are running.

By default, the maximum number of data sets that are displayed is 5.
Note: If application load does not exist in the WebSphere® cell, the summary chart is empty. This behavior is expected. To see data in the chart, start to run load on your applications.

Deployment target summary table

The deployment target summary table displays information about the deployment targets that are running in your environment.

To change the number of rows that display initially in the deployment target data table, click Preferences. You can specify the number of Maximum rows to display in the table. Any additional data is displayed on subsequent pages. Select the Retain filter criteria check box to retain the last filter criteria entered. When you return to the page, retained filter criteria control the application collection that is displayed in the table. Use the compound filtering icon filter icon to filter the information that is displayed in the table.

Name

Specifies the name of the deployment target. Click the name to display the configuration settings.

Cell

Specifies the name of the cell.

Type

Specifies the deployment target type. The types include: cluster, dynamic cluster, and application server.

Status

Indicates whether the deployment target is started, stopped, or unavailable.

Table 1. Deployment target status
Icon Action Description
Partial Start Partially running The deployment target is in the process of changing from a Stopped state to a Started state. Server is starting to run but is not fully running yet.
Started Started The deployment target is running.
Partial Stop Partially stopped The deployment target is in the process of changing from a Started state to a Stopped state.
Stopped Stopped The deployment target is not running.
Unavailable Unknown The status of the deployment target cannot be determined.

Stability

Specifies the operational status of the deployment target.

Table 2. Deployment target stability
Icon Action Description
Stable Stable The deployment target is operational, without issues.
Questionable Questionable The deployment target has some problems, but is still operational.
Unstable Unstable The deployment target has severe issues.
Unknown Unknown The deployment target stability cannot be reported.

Live sessions

Specifies the number of local sessions that are currently cached in memory. The statistic can be monitored, for example, when placing a server into maintenance mode to complete the quiesce operation.

Weight

Specifies the routing weight that is assigned to server deployment targets. If the deployment target is a cluster, the weight value does not display.

Active service policy associations

Lists the active service policy associations, including any work that is being routed to that particular deployment target since the on demand router (ODR) startup.

Top applications

Lists the top five applications that are consuming the most power on the deployment target.
